Four ways in. All of them useful.

We are small enough that a single sponsorship visibly changes what we can do this year.

Sponsor a student

Take on the full education costs of one child — fees, books, uniform, exams, travel — and stay with them through to the end of school. This is the most direct thing you can do, and the one we most need right now.

  • Full cost, not partial
  • A commitment measured in years, not terms
  • Annual written update on the child’s progress
  • No obligation to appear anywhere or meet anyone
02

Partner as a company

Back a whole programme pillar rather than a line item. We will report against it properly, with real figures and the failures included.

  • Programme-level sponsorship with named reporting
  • Employee volunteering and mentoring programmes
  • Matched-giving schemes for your staff
  • In-kind support: laptops, books, training capacity

Please note: our CSR-1 filing is still in progress, so we cannot yet receive statutory CSR funds. We can begin the conversation now and be ready for your next financial year.

03

Give your time

We need specific skills more than general goodwill — and we would rather have four hours a month reliably than a day of enthusiasm once.

  • Subject tutoring, in person or online
  • Career and higher-education guidance
  • Accounting, legal and compliance support
  • Photography, writing and communications
04

Join our board

Our board is currently two people from one household. We know that is a limitation, and we are actively looking for independent directors and advisors before we raise at any scale.

  • Independent directors with sector experience
  • Advisors in education, public health or rural livelihoods
  • Governance, audit and safeguarding expertise
Donating

About giving money to us right now

We would rather you knew the position before you gave than after.

Donations to us are not currently tax-deductible. Our 80G registration is in progress and has not yet been granted. Until it is, you will not receive a tax deduction for giving to us. When it comes through, this page will change the same day.

We do not have online payment set up yet. Rather than route your money through a third-party platform that takes a cut, we would prefer to speak with you and arrange a direct bank transfer to the foundation’s account.

If you would like to give, please get in touch and we will send you the account details and a receipt.

What your money does not pay for

It does not pay a salary to any member of this foundation, because Section 8 status prohibits that. It does not pay for our office, our banking, our audit or our filings — the founders meet the foundation’s running costs personally.

It pays for fees, books, uniforms, exam costs, travel and the programme work itself.
